The Most Magical Place in Europe

When you turn 11 and you are in Paris, what better way to spend the day celebrating at the most magical place on earth? Thank you Mimi and Pops for the passes to Disney. We have to admit that we had heard if you had been to DisneyWorld that Euro Disney was a letdown. We beg to differ. The whole Smith family thought it was an incredible experience and we kept saying, "it's Disney. It's Paris. This is AWESOME!"  It was incredible and would go back again.

We came, we saw, we rode everything.

Since we were staying in Paris, we took at train out to Disney. I stumbled across a macaroon shop, and since it was Grayson's birthday, each of us had one for breakfast in honor of his big day

The entrance to the Magic Kingdom and the obligatory castle photos walking down Main Street. It was all so familiar yet all a little different.

Since it was Grayson's birthday, he got to choose the first ride. He picked Space Mountain. Hope asked if there were any loops. Thinking it was like Disney World I said no. Oops - it did. Think combination of Rock'N'Roller Coaster meets Space Mountain meets Star Wars. There were star destroyers shooting at us, Star Wars music playing and plenty of loops. We loved it and rode it more than once.

I love Hope's face on this!
To Infinity and Beyond.....another favorite of the Smiths.

WE love you Grayson- to infinity and beyond.

For round two of Space Mountain, Jamison and Michaela did the Speedway!

"It's a world of laughter and a world of tears...." We have experienced both this week. We have cried with friends who have lost so much in the flooding due to Hurricane Harvey and we have laughed and laughed at Disney world. Truly, it's the happiest place on earth. Here we are at "It's a Small World," one of Jamison's favorites! The kids groan but we loved going through the ride, guessing the countries and for being able to say, "we've been there!" How fun is that?

Snow White in French!

The Haunted Mansion...999 ghouls inside, will you be the next one?

Testing his muscles

Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life for me.
Another one of Grayson's favorites. One year he rode it 8 times!

It seems we have stumbled across all kinds of anniversaries in Paris.  It was Euro Disney's 25th anniversary and Star Wars 40th.

Thinking that it was similar to the Indiana Car ride at Hollywood Studios, I sent Jamison with the big kids to do it here.  Little did we know that in EuroDisney, this ride was a roller coaster. Oops. Jamison gets a bit motion sick and apparently this ride had a loop on it as well.
Post Roller coaster
While they went on Indiana, Michaela and I did a little hat shopping, did Dumbo and Cinderella's carousel. The carousel did originate in France so it would just be rude not ride it.

More pictures in front of the castle!

Grayson requested a Mickey bar as his birthday treat. This was our only complaint about EuroDisney - no Mickey bars. He settled for ice cream.

Last ride of the day - Big Thunder Mountain. It was longer and better than the one in Florida. The line was 45 min, the longest line of the day. It was well worth it. The ride was FUN!

Now it's time to say goodbye.....

9 miles walking in the park. Little bit's legs were tired.
Signs of a successful day:

BIG, BIG thank you to Mimi and Pops for such a memorable day!

Now it's time to say goodbye, to all our company,
M-I-C, See you real soon!
K-E-Y, Why? Because we like you!
